Updated: Apr 10

As the sun rises over the peaceful wilderness, Luna's tail wags excitedly as she eagerly awaits another day of outdoor adventures. Camping with the Luna Bear truly enhances any experience, adding an extra layer of joy and companionship, and of course logistics, to any journey. Join us as we delve into Luna's outdoor escapades and share some tips for a successful camping trip with your four-legged friend.

Exploring the great outdoors with Luna has been a highlight of our camping adventures. Whether we're hiking through tranquil forests, setting up camp by a glistening lake, or simply enjoying the crackling campfire under the starlit sky, Luna's endless stoke and love for nature is infectious. Her wagging tail and curious sniffs remind us to appreciate the simple pleasures of the natural world.

One of the key aspects of camping with the Luna Bear is preparation. Before embarking on any outdoor adventure, it's crucial to pack all the essentials for your furry companion. This includes food and water, a sturdy leash (I bring a long-lead, a waterproof leash, and our regular leash... we like to have options!), a comfortable bed or blanket for sleeping, poop bags, and a little pet first aid kit from REI just in case. Ensuring Luna's safety and comfort is my number one priority on any adventure.

When selecting a campsite, it's important to choose a pet-friendly location that welcomes our doggos. We look for campsites on the AllTrails app or by frequenting the websites of places just to double check. If you find a place with designated pet areas or pet waste stations, that's a real win! And nearby hiking trails where dogs are allowed are an absolute must. Especially in California, you know what they say about people who assume... So before heading out, familiarize yourself with the campsite rules and the stipulations around nearby trails regarding pets to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for both you and your furry friend.

During your camping trip, take the time to explore the surrounding wilderness with your best friend by your side. Go for leisurely walks together, paddle board on pristine lakes, or simply relax by the campfire and soak in the peaceful ambiance of nature. Remember to always keep your pup on a leash when required, respect wildlife and other campers, and clean up after your furry companion to leave no trace behind.

As the sun sets on another day of camping adventures with Luna, we are reminded of the simple joys and profound connections that nature brings. With a furry friend by your side, every camping trip becomes a heartwarming and unforgettable experience. So grab your gear, leash up your pup, and set off on a new outdoor escapade filled with wagging tails and boundless exploration!
