Short Adventures Hub

Here is a collection of some of my shorter backpacking trips and adventures. They might not be big enough to have their own page here, but the adventures were memorable enough to still need a space to be celebrated and remembered. Enjoy, and may you too find inspiration to find pockets of peace and play in your lives, too.

Backpacking at Clouds Rest in Yosemite

On day 1, we started in Tuolome Meadows and headed to Sunrise Lake. It was super smokey from the classic California fires, but some areas were better than others. Sunrise lake was so beautiful! On day 2, we headed to Cloud's Rest and wow what a view! Did some head stands and fun inversions on some slabs, and we saw a rattlesnake as we trekked down into Little Yosemite Backpacking camp. Swimming at the river down there was EPIC. Day 3, we traversed and climbed up for what felt like forever up to Cathedral Lake. Once there, it was EPIC. The smoke hovering on the horizon, we drank hot cocoa with whiskey, ate gummy bears, and watched these crazy people in the distance climbing DOWN cathedral peak... at NIGHT! Nutso, I am telling you. Lastly, on day 4, we made our way back to Tuolome Meadow and enjoyed every step of our last day!

Camping at Castle Lake in Shasta County

This was mine and Luna's first mother-daughter solo camping trip and it was amazing! Paddle boarding, swimming, and hiking around Castle Lake for three days was so beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what our little souls needed. I love adventuring with this little bear so much, and I can't wait for our next neature adventure!

This trip was the best reminder to find our own pockets of peace and play, today and every day.
